Healthy Halloween 2017

Operation Fit Nation’s “Healthy Halloween” event is ready to get the youth of the Oxford, Charleston, and Batesville, Mississippi communities excited about making healthier choices through this fun, interactive event! Operation Fit Nation is an organization focused on health and wellness education, nutrition education, and events designed to facilitate learning about healthy behaviors through active participation. This particular event is designed to promote healthy behaviors for children while having Halloween fun, along with encouraging a safe celebration of the holiday. Held since 2011, this event has seen thousands of children and their parents enjoy what Healthy Halloween offers.

Designated venues in each community will be transformed into a child-friendly fun zone where they can play games, test their fitness and nutrition knowledge, get grab bags full of great and nutritious treats, and much more. Healthy Halloween is not only for kids, though! It also incorporates blood pressure screenings for parents during the event.

Oxford’s Healthy Halloween will be held at the Lafayette High School Commons on October 27, 2017 from 6-8pm. Charleston’s Healthy Halloween will be held at the Charleston Elementary School on October 24, 2017 from 4:30-6pm. Batesville’s Healthy Halloween will be held at the Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Mississippi on October 26, 2017 from 6-7:30pm.
